Choose a suitable color
Select Cyan, White, Light Gray, Dark Gray, Dark Red, Dark Yellow or Black. Cyan is selected by default, and the color choice remains explicit before the PDF is created.
A separate watermarked copy
The source PDF is not silently overwritten. ProScan PDF creates a new watermarked file in My Files so the untouched original remains available.

Select the PDF
Open Tools, choose Add Watermark and select the PDF you want to mark from My Files.
Enter text and choose a color
Replace the default CONFIDENTIAL text with your own wording if needed, then select one of the seven available colors.
Create the watermarked copy
Tap Create Watermarked PDF. The document is processed locally, saved to My Files as a new PDF and followed by a completion confirmation.

Consistent placement on every page
The watermark is sized relative to each PDF page and placed diagonally through the center, creating a consistent visual treatment across portrait, landscape and mixed-size documents.
